Federal Transit Administration. Natchez Regional Transportation Center and Maintenance Facility, Natchez Mississippi, 2012-2013
Project Management – responsible for performing a review of the overall program execution.
The project includes design and construction of a new two-story, approximately 9,000 square foot building with associated site improvements located on a major regional highway. Once completed, it will be a regional passenger transfer hub, a modern maintenance center, a park-and-ride lot, and a regional transportation call-and-dispatch center. The facility will also have space for secure parking for 28 transit vehicles, with an additional 42 parking spaces for employees and park-and-ride patrons; office and operational space for NTS staff; an MDOT/Public Transit Division regional training classroom; and public space. Construction began in mid 2012 and is expected to be substantially complete later this year. We provide a monthly project inspection, comprehensive review of the ongoing construction process, schedule, quality and safety compared to appropriate guidelines, the project design and applicable requirements, participate in an Owner meeting and produce a monthly detailed report of findings and recommendations.
